Are we not just like every other small brand on the market wanting to make a profit? We understand that as a consumer you are inundated with thousands of messages about products claiming to change your life. While our sweatpants are soft and will keep you cozy, they can’t solve everything. But the profits from your purchase go to making the world a better and safer place for women. We are an ethical business. This means from the moment we were created throughout any success we have, we want this company to work for both our customers and employees. We were founded by a twenty-three-old woman who has slowly built this brand from the ground up over the last two years. We’re an Ethical Business. 

By 23, our founder had already worked numerous jobs where she felt like she was sacrificing her mental health in order to earn her paycheck. It’s said that ⅓ of our lives are spent at work. Having a healthy work environment you enjoy, should be a right, not a privilege. We work to offer the best benefits possible for our employees and continue to adapt our business model to accommodate the lifestyle of the modern worker. 

The truth of the matter is, that the clothing industry is far from perfect. It has a long history of profiting off sweatshops and child labor across the globe while also doing its very best to pollute it. Fashion is responsible for roughly 10% of the carbon dioxide output and about 85% of clothing currently ends up in landfills. So as a company, we are doing something about it. All of our products are produced with the finest materials on the market and are built to last. We understand the value of your money and we want you to enjoy our items for as long as possible. Our clothing is crafted in the United States with strict environmental policies. Policies that include both water and waste reduction. All of our items come with a sweatshop-free guarantee. It’s 2022, it’s time the world starts demanding the end of sweatshops rather than silently profiting off them. All of our items are wrapped and packaged in recyclable materials that can often be used more than once. Our definition of ‘ethical business’ is ever-changing. We understand we’re not perfect and there may be a learning curve as we grow, but we want The Cheeky Cherub to be a company that does right by both people and the planet. 

We proudly donate 10% of all our profits.

We believe a business should go beyond just satisfying its employees and customers. This is why we donate 10% of our yearly profits to organizations providing art supplies and/or education to underprivileged kids. When money is tight and budgets have been cut, it is usually the arts that are the first to go. Providing children with an artistic outlet can truly change their future for the better which is why we donate to a number of organizations with this purpose across the United States. 

We’re making art inclusive again. 

Our founder studied art history in college and quickly fell in love. While she specifically felt a kindred connection to cherubs and the principles they represent, she was infatuated with Renaissance art as a whole. Over time, however, she became increasingly frustrated at the lack of diversity represented in many of her favorite frescos. Being a digital artist, she began to create her own inclusive art inspired by the work of the great artists of the past. We can’t go back and change history or alter the art of the past, but we can learn from it and adapt it for ourselves. The Cheeky Cherub was started with the intention of providing people with comfy clothes and a little joy, and we hope everyone finds that here.
